WWII-Era Planes Over Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) -- The skies over Dubuque will be buzzing with dozens of World War II era trainer planes this week.
60 of the AT-6 Texans will operate from the Dubuque Regional Airport from Thursday to Sunday.
The North American Trainer Association is training in the planes at Dubuque for the seventh year.
The event is private, but people can see the planes at an observation area near the airport's entryway.
The planes were used to train hundreds of thousands of pilots during World War II. The plane was known for its versatility and easy handling.
