Cyclospora Source Could Be Expired
DES MOINES, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Health officials say the source of the cyclospora outbreak may be gone. The Iowa Department of Public Health says the dates of the illness suggest those that became sick had eaten the contaminated food in mid-June. By now, most of that food should have been eaten or thrown away. Officials say they could still see more illness reports, but no recently contracted cases. There are now 87 confirmed cases across Iowa. Officials still urge that everyone was all fresh fruits and vegetables before eating them.
