Guns Found During Drug Investigation

WATERLOO, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Police in Waterloo make two arrests after searching a home.  It happened Wednesday at 525 Locust Street in Waterloo.  That's where the Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team executed a search warrant in connection with a drug and gun investigation.
Authorities say they found marijuana, money and other items used in the sale and distribution of drugs.  Officers say they also found several guns with high capacity magazines and additional ammunition.
29-year-old Rodney Gary, Jr. and 26-year-old Rose Rodriguez, both of Waterloo, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.  Rodriguez faces an additional charge of child endangerment.
Both suspects are now in the Black Hawk County Jail.
