Men's Shelter Closing

OTTUMWA, Iowa (AP) -- The men's shelter in Ottumwa will be closing after more than 10 years of operation.
The Ottumwa Community Outreach Ministry will be serving its last meal on Friday.
The ministry's board president, Marty Schmidt, says the shelter has been serving 50 to 100 meals a day.
Schmidt says the decision to close the center was based an inability to maintain an active board of directors as well as "dwindling financial resources."
