Soldiers Returning Home

 WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) -- A homecoming ceremony has been scheduled for about 50 soldiers from the Iowa Army National Guard based in Waterloo.
   The Tuesday morning ceremony is for soldiers from Detachment 1, Company C of the 2-211th General Support Aviation Battalion. The unit provides aerial medical evacuations that supplies medical service for patients headed to combat support hospitals.
   The public is welcome to attend the ceremony at Army Aviation Support Facility 2 in Waterloo.
   The unit deployed in July 2012 and served in Afghanistan. Their deployment included more than 3,200 combat hours and more than 650 medical evacuation and training missions.
