Cedar Rapids - Powered SOLELY by the sun.  The Indian Creek Nature Center is operating at full power right now, lights and computers running.  Look at the electric meter, though, and it's not moving.  The Center is operating entirely on electricity produced by the photovoltaic collectors on the Sunroom roof.  The Center says this means: 
No coal needed to be mined or shipped to burn for our electricity.
No emissions from coal burning.
No draw on the nuclear power plant.
