Final Four in Search For CF Superintendent

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) -- The Cedar Falls Board of Education will interview four finalists to fill the district's vacant superintendent position.
The district will interview the candidates from Monday through Thursday.
The finalists are Andy Pattee, the superintendent of the Charles City and Riceville school district; Thomas Van Soelen, associated superintendent of schools in Decatur, Ga.; Fort Dodge Superintendent Douglas G. Van Zyl; and Cedar Falls High School Principal Rich Powers.
The board plans to decide who to hire by late May so the new superintendent can start work July 1.
The position has been vacant since Mike Wells resigned in February after he realized the board wouldn't renew his one-year contract.
