WATERLOO, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) -- Police in Waterloo are investigating a reported abduction attempt.  Authorities were notified just before 2:30pm Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Essex Drive and Idaho Street.
A 9-year-old girl told police she was walking home from Highland School when she says a black van stopped her at the intersection.  The victims says a woman got out of the van and grabbed her by the collar of her coat.  She managed to get away and said the woman got back in the van and took off.
The victim describes the woman as white, middle aged with grey hair, about 5'9" with a medium build and wearing a black shirt and black pants.
The driver of the van was described as a black man, middle aged also with grey hair.  The van had no windows.  The victim indicated the license plate included numbers similar to "1050."
The van was last seen heading south on Idaho Street towards Dubuque Road.  Anyone with information about the van or the suspects should call the Waterloo Police Department at (319) 291-2515.
