Simmering Selections: Dips

Ques Dip:
Ingredients:
1 pound lean beef
1 packet of tack seasoning
1 pound (16 oz) of Velveeta Cheese (cut into cubes)
3/4 cup of water
2 table spoons of Sour Cream (optional)
Chips
Toppings if desired

Directions:
Brown the hamburger.
Drain, add water and seasoning and let that thickened.
Add all to crock pot with cubed cheese.
High cooks at 1-2 hours
Low at 2-3 hours (By then, its just melting the cheese and can be served from pot.)
Stir to mix melting cheese as needed.

Spinach Dip:
Ingredients:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, cubed
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 can (14 ounce) artichokes, drained and finely chopped
1 package (10 ounce) rinsed fresh spinach leaves, stems removed and finely chopped
Tortilla chips

Directions:
Combine all ingredients except chips in a 3 1/2-quart or smaller slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high heat setting 2 hours, until hot and bubbling.
Stir well and serve with tostadas or other tortilla chips.
