A native Iowan, Eva loves beginning the day with Eastern Iowans as a reporter for the morning and noon newscasts for CBS 2/FOX 28. Eva is excited to be back home in Cedar Rapids after spending seven years in New York City, where she earned her Master's degree in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and developed her love for telling rich and diverse stories.

Eva is also a proud graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (Go Panthers!) She graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Communication Studies and Jazz Saxophone.

Before working at KGAN, Eva held internships at Entertainment Tonight, the Colbert Report, Saturday Night Live, as well as Z102.9 & 1600 ESPN Radio here in Cedar Rapids. Most recently, she produced and directed the documentary A Different Script, which tells the story of actors with developmental disabilities pursuing the entertainment industry.

Eva grew up in Center Point and has performed on stage with Theatre Cedar Rapids.

Coffee, comedy shows, and a good pair of high-heeled shoes are also among Eva's favorite things.
