Brandon Marshall joined the Weather First team in June of 2016.
After graduating high school, Brandon started a career in radio broadcasting that spanned 14 years. The journey began in his hometown Quad Cities where he worked for various stations including B100 (KBEA). He also worked for stations throughout the Midwest from Bloomington-Normal/Peoria, IL to Madison & La Crosse, WI. When the passion & challenge of radio began to wear off, he hung up the headphones to pursue a career in Broadcast Meteorology.
Brandon has always had a love for weather growing up and in 2013 he made the first step towards a new beginning. He moved to Chicago and attended College of DuPage to enroll in one of the finest Meteorology programs in the nation. While in school he successfully completed an internship at WGN-TV and graduated with honors in May 2016. He is continuing his education online through Mississippi State University and working towards a degree in Operational & Broadcast Meteorology.
Outside of the weather center, Brandon enjoys outdoor hobbies such as running or exploring area scenic trails. He also enjoys taking in baseball games, blogging, storm chasing during the summer months, attending concerts, and jamming out to any 80s or 90s song. Brandon is excited to be in Cedar Rapids and enjoys the challenge of forecasting weather in Iowa.
