Walk Supports Battle Against Huntington's

CORALVILLE, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- The battle against Huntington's disease got a big push for awareness Saturday in Coralville.

The Huntington's Disease Society of America held its Team Hope walk at Coral Ridge Mall.

The so-called HD is a deadly genetic disorder that causes a break down of nerve cells in the brain.

There is no known cure, so people walking say it's one more way to push forward and raise more awareness, and money for research to end it.

Right now, there are about 30,000 Americans living with HD and more than 200,000 more at risk of developing it.
