Toastmasters Promote Communication

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- A lot of people are petrified to speak in front of a crowd.

But on Sunday, the District 19 Toastmasters showed how the fears can be overcome.

The fall conference at the Doubletree in Cedar Rapids showed how community leaders can be stronger communicators by working on their speaking skills.

"Toastmasters has helped me grow so much as an individual and as a professional," said Alana Svensen Hults, the conference co-chair.

The Toastmasters spring conference will be in Des Moines in May.
