Three more family members arrested in death of starved teenager
PERRY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
Three more family members have been charged in the connection to the death of a 16-year-old girl who was starved to death.
KCCI reports that 21-year-old Justin Ray, 62-year-old Carla Bousman and 20-year-old Josie Bousman all were arrested for the death of Sabrina Ray on Wednesday.
Sabrina Ray was found dead on May 12 inside the home her parents, Marc and Misty Ray. Her parents have pleaded not guilty to child endangerment causing death, child endangerment causing serious injury and neglect.
Dallas County authorities say that Justin Ray lived in the same home as Sabrina, and drop-kicked down the stairs during her abuse. Criminal complaints say Josie and Carla Bousman also lived in the home, and took part in the confinement, starvation and torture of Sabrina.
Justin Ray is charged with two counts of willful injury and two counts of child endangerment. Carla Bousman is charged with 3 counts of aiding and abetting first-degree kidnapping, one count of aiding and abetting child endangerment causing death and one count of obstruction. Josie Bousman is charged with three counts of aiding and abetting first-degree kidnapping, and one count of aiding and abetting child endangerment causing death
