Thanksgiving tradition lives on through food, fellowship
WATERLOO, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) —
Mike and Leona Adams wanted to make sure their neighbors had a good meal and good conversation during the holiday season. 36 years later, their tradition of a Thanksgiving dinner for the community is continuing and growing.
Hundreds of people were served a meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, rolls, and pumpkin pie on Monday at the Local 838 Union Hall in Waterloo - with another 350 meals being packed up and delivered to other members of the community.
