One dead after head on collision
TAMA COUNTY, Iowa —
The Iowa State Patrol reports one person is dead after a head on collision in Tama County Saturday night. According to the Iowa State Patrol online crash reports, 81-year-old Donald G. Selken of Vinton was killed and two others were injured in the crash.
The report says a vehicle driven by 74-year-old David M. Keidel of Cedar Falls was traveling northbound on Highway 21. The vehicle then entered a construction zone where the highway was reduced to one lane. Selken was driving southbound on Highway 21 in the construction zone when the two vehicles collided head on.
According to the report the two others who were injured, including Keidel, were taken to a hospital.
The crash is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
