Marion City Council votes to limit firework use

MGN Online.

Fireworks might be legal now, but cities are quickly taking action to limit their use.

The Gazette reports the Marion City Council voted on Thursday night to stop people from using fireworks during certain times of the year.

A new law says fireworks can be sold around those holidays, but Marion is going further by adding a time restriction on shooting off fireworks.

The Council says people can use fireworks on their property for a limited number of days around July 4th and during the months of December and January.
