Man accused of sexually abusing women on camera has trial delayed

A trial for a man accused of sexually abusing multiple women who were incapacitated while recording it is being delayed again.

25-year-old Nathan Schloss will now stand trial August 8 with a pre-trial conference scheduled for July 28.

A criminal complaint says Schloss committed sexual abuse 18 times between May 2012 and September 2013. Schloss is accused of sexually abusing the women and recording the encounters.

A court document says police discovered the videos after Schloss turned in an external hard drive to show police a video of his former roommate, Leo Nopoulos, torturing a cat. Nopoulos pleaded guilty to animal torture.

Schloss is facing 18 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and 22 counts of invasion of privacy. Each sexual abuse charge carries a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison, while each county of invasion of privacy carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail.
