Johnson County Ambulance Service building opens
IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS 2/FOX 28) —
A project 15 years in the making - for people working jobs that typically require quick actions - was worth the wait.
"Had we moved forward with some of those earlier projects, we would have sold ourselves short - because it wouldn't have been anything like what this is," Johnson County Ambulance Service director Steve Spenler said on Friday at the new JCAS building in Iowa City.
The new Ambulance Service and Medical Examiner Facility, located at 808 South Dubuque Street, is now open for business. CBS 2/FOX 28 first took you inside the construction in February.
The 35,000 square foot building will also be home to the county auditor and physical plant.
