Iowa City man accused of recording himself sexually abusing women to enter plea
IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
A man accused of recording himself sexually abusing multiple women while they were incapacitated will enter a plea at a hearing on Monday.
Court filings say 26-year-old Nathan Schloss will enter a plea at a hearing. It's unclear what the terms of the plea are.
A criminal complaint says Schloss committed sexual abuse 18 times between May 2012 and September 2013. Schloss is accused of sexually abusing the women and recording the encounters.
A court document says police discovered the videos after Schloss turned in an external hard drive to show police a video of his former roommate, Leo Nopoulos, torturing a cat. Nopoulos pleaded guilty to animal torture.
Schloss is facing 18 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and 22 counts of invasion of privacy. Each sexual abuse charge carries a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison, while each county of invasion of privacy carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail.
