FTK! UI Dance Marathon raises more than $3 Million
IOWA CITY, Iowa —
The University of Iowa's 24th annual Dance Marathon broke a record with this year's event. According to the University, they are now only the second school to raise more than $3 Million. In fact, this year's Dance Marathon raised $3,011,015.24.
More than 2,700 student dancers, 300 student leadership members, 11 executive board members and numerous volunteers and advisers helped with the year-round fundraising efforts.
Dance Marathon organizers say this year's money can go from continuing to expand the Pediatric Cancer Facility at the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital to helping with medical bills, parking, gas, meals or other forms of care.
