Freeze Fest in Iowa City features ice fishing, learning about nature
IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
The frosty temperatures didn't keep people inside in Iowa City for the annual Freeze Fest.
The festival is a way to embrace the cold temperatures. Kids got a chance to go ice fishing at Terry Trueblood. Families could also learn how nature reacts during the coldest months.
Kids could also grab a hot chocolate and head inside for some face painting and crafts.
Organizers say its a great way for the community to come together and learn about Iowa in the wintertime.
