City High students learn the fashion business from local business owner

Back in November Andre' Wright local fashion designer from Born Leaders United walked into City High and met with the Principal John Bacon. Andre had a vision to come into the school and teach his students fashion design. Even more than that help them develop soft skills like project management, team building, branding, design, and finding their strengths. Then at the end of the trimester long class they would put together a student led fashion show showcasing all the skills they have learned thought the 12 weeks.

The idea turned in to an actual class pass/fail with 5 credit hours. (First time this has ever happened)

The class is called Leaders Of The New School Fashion Class - sponsored by Born Leaders United

There are 14 people in the class total and all from different cultures and backgrounds

Andre went there as a volunteer/community business leader someone from the community that is passionate about fashion and taught the kids soft skills that they could use for various things thought life.

The students created their own fashion line titled WE:AR United and are selling the pieces to raise money for the program next year.
