Another round of snow Friday

DMA CUTOUT - WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.png

Another system will be moving through the area and us bringing in more snow Friday. Snow is forecast to begin in the morning between 8 and 9 a.m. and will continue through the evening commute.

Unlike the other two systems this week, there will likely be more moisture in the atmosphere and allow for fluffier snow and higher totals.

Snow should quickly accumulate on the cold roadways, and due to the powdery nature of the snow, it will greatly reduce visibility at times.

Snow will likely be ongoing around the evening drive which could lead to a messy evening commute. The snow will wind down Friday night and temperatures will drop over the weekend. Bitter cold is expected as we round out 2017. You can get the latest numbers and full forecast at cbs2iowa.com/weather.
