U.S.-Belgium Game Tuesday

Updated: Tuesday, July 1 2014, 08:23 AM CDT
BRASILIA, BRAZIL (CBS2/FOX28) – Today (Tuesday) is the day many of us have been waiting for.
The U.S. Men’s Soccer team takes the field in round 16 of the World Cup against Belgium and on this one the stakes are “win or go home.”
Earlier this month, America defeated Ghana which meant they moved on to play Portugal. That game ended in a draw and pushed them forward to a Germany match.
Even though they suffered a loss to Germany, the men were still eligible to go on.
Tuesday’s game will be held at 3pm CST and will be the first time since 2002 that the stars and stripes are trying to advance to the world cup quarterfinals.
The U.S. and Belgium haven't played in the world cup since the first tournament in 1930.
Back then, we won 3-0.
