Oelwein Mayor Bonds Out of Jail

Updated: Thursday, August 21 2014, 12:41 PM CDT
OELWEIN, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- Oelwein's Mayor is out of jail.  Jason Manus is accused of sexually abusing young children.  He was taken into custody earlier this month.  His attorney requested his $125,000 bond be reduced and on Wednesday a judge agreed to lower it to a total of $65,000.
Then, a bail bond company posted the amount for Manus, allowing him to leave jail while he awaits trial.  An arraignment in the case is scheduled for September 3rd.
