Grassley: More Needs to be Done on Immigration

Updated: Wednesday, July 9 2014, 06:45 PM CDT
WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS 2/FOX 28) – Senator Chuck Grassley is now on the record about how he feels about the current immigration crisis facing America’s border communities.

Grassley saws lawmakers need to figure out, what he’s calling a “humanitarian crisis”, before a settlement can be reached.

“We’re dealing with people that have come here, undocumented,” Grassley said. “We have to deal with the fact that people are willing to break our law to come here.”

One of the things the republican says needs to happen before a settlement can be reached is changes to a law passed in 2008 that makes it more difficult for illegal immigrants to be returned to their countries.
