CBS 2 Heroes - Lynn Stansberry

Updated: Tuesday, August 5 2014, 10:29 PM CDT
At 270 pounds, Lynn Stansbery says she couldn't move.  Exercise wasn't an option.  When a Mayo Clinic doctor told her she was clinically obese, Lynn decided to do something about it.  Two years later, Lynn is 120 pounds lighter and credits "baby steps" to her success.  Starting with a walk to the corner, then a walk down the block, Lynn began to transform.  Today, she and her husband, Gary, bike and walks several miles every week.  She lives by the Blue Zones initiative and has since become their best local spokeswoman.  Her hard work and living example of how one person can change the trajectory of their own life, is why Lynn Stansbery is a CBS 2 Hero.  For more information on the Blue Zones, go to https://www.bluezonesproject.com/communities/cedar-rapidsCBS 2 Heroes - Lynn Stansberry
