CBS 2 Heroes Follow-Up - Henry Davison

Updated: Monday, December 30 2013, 08:01 AM CST
When the Floods of 2008 destroyed the H.D. Youth Center, the Center's namesake, Henry Davison, knew it would eventually re-open.  The need was too great for a safe place for local kids to go for recreation.  Through is tireless efforts and dogged determination, Henry was able to open the NEW HD Youth Center on Mt. Vernon Road Southeast.   The Center hosts, on average, 50 students everyday.  They come to play games, read, use the computer or do homework with the help of free tutors.  The Center is in need of volunteers for any/all activities, including those willing to make early morning breakfasts for the homeless.  For more information, email Director Tammy Mims at tdmims@mchsi.com  or go to www.hdyouthcenter.orgCBS 2 Heroes Follow-Up - Henry Davison
