What to watch for in the 58th Annual Grammy Awards
(CBS 2/ FOX 28) —
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS 2 tonight and you should expect a lot of star power. Music stars Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and the Alabama Shakes will all be at the big show.
LL Cool J is set to host the show for the fifth time in a row. Recording Academy President Neil Portnow told Hollywoodreporter.com the rapper/actor's personality and energy set the perfect tone for the show.
The Alabama Shakes and Taylor Swift are competing for album of the year. Swift is nominated for seven Grammy's this year, while rapper Kendrick Lamar leads with eleven nominations. Also at this year's show, the trophy will have a "Grammy Cam" showing video from the winner's circle.
Aside from the excitement the Grammys, there will also be a tribute for artists we have lost. "We've lost so many treasures this year and I think these parts of the show where we're gonna honor these people that are so deserving and it's gonna be the highlight of the whole deal," said Little Big Town singer Karen Fairchild.
Beyoncé will perform her hit song, 'Formation' tonight. However, many people are wondering if the singer's performance will be as controversial as her Super Bowl performance. You will have to tune in tonight at 8 right here on CBS 2 to find out.
