Iowa City police arrest man accused of two robberies
IOWA CITY, Iowa (CBS2/FOX28) —
Iowa City Police Department says they have arrested a man who robbed two people last month.
Police say that first robbery took place on January 24. 30-year-old Daniel Crum allegedly was given a ride by the victim bear Benton Street and Giblin Drive, and made demands and threats for money.
On January 28, Crum allegedly approached someone making an ATM withdrawal near the 10-block of South Subuque Street, grabbed their wrist and demanded they withdraw cash and give it to him.
Crum was arrested on February 3 and taken to the Johnson County Jail charged with two counts of Robbery in Second Degree and one count of Theft in the 5th Degree. They are also investigating his role in similarly reported robberies.
