Local family utilizes their business to give back
Family owned business Metro Harley Davidson uses their business as a platform to give back to the community.
They created the 620 Foundation for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. During the summer on the second Thursday of every month, they hold a fundraising party for the hospital. They have held these events for the past three years. To date, they have raised more than 200 thousand dollars.
Kylie Angle, the Vice President of the company said the family started these fundraisers because "we have a family member that with out that hospital, she had a 1 in 70 thousand chance of living." Angle calls the hospital and staff "awesome" and said this little girl wouldn't be a happy, healthy, 6 year old today if it weren't for them.
