A lifetime ambassador for Camp Courageous: Pay it Forward
In 1972 forty acres was donated and Camp Courageous was born. The camp is a respite and recreational facility for those with special needs.
A group self named "The River Rats" helped raise money to get the camp off the ground. Gloria Ford and her husband were part of that group.
45 years later, Ford is still giving her all, volunteering at Camp Courageous. Ford said " I'm not very good at twiddling my thumbs. I do like to stay busy. I think it's very helpful to stay busy and if you can contribute and do something worthwhile I think that's important."
